Located in Helensburgh and Stanwell Park, we offer a unique blend of Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Pilates and Barre classes. Lara
PHYSIOTHERAPIST, EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST, PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Lara has been working as a Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist for over 10 years. She has experience with musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. She can also assist with women with pelvic floor assessments, pregnancy issues, mastitis treatment, and postnatal recovery. Her dual qualifications in Physiotherapy and Pilates enable her to combine hands-on techniques with tailored exercise prescriptions for optimal long-term outcomes.

Laura
PHYSIOTHERAPIST, EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST, PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Laura holds a Masters of Physiotherapy from Sydney University and a Bachelor of Exercise Science from Wollongong University. She is a Polestar accredited Clinical Pilates instructor with advanced manual therapy training for pelvis and lumbar spine conditions, as well as Level 1 and 2 sports training. Her dual qualifications allow her to blend physiotherapy and exercise prescription for optimal patient outcomes. Passionate about fitness and sports, Laura is an active netball player and Surf Club Movement member, competing at State and National levels. She is a member of APA and ESSA.

Maddi
EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST, PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Maddi, an ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologist, graduated in 2016 and has since worked as an Exercise Physiologist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. A former national-level gymnast, she remains involved as a judge, coach, and mentor. Maddi has extensive experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, chronic fatigue, post-COVID syndrome, mental health conditions, cancer, persistent pain, and neurological conditions. She also works with women’s health clients, including pre/postnatal care, and assists the aging population with falls prevention programs. Maddi is registered for claims through WorkCover, DVA, Medicare, and health funds.

Claire
EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST, PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Claire, an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist graduated from the University of Sydney in 2023 and completed comprehensive pilates training whilst studying. Claire has a passion for all things exercise, a few favourites being pilates, lifting weights and snowboarding. Claire enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and overall supporting people on their exercise journey to improve or maintain their health. Claire is registered for claims through Workcover, DVA, Medicare and health funds.

Kat
PHYSIOTHERAPIST, PILATES & BARRE INSTRUCTOR
Kat has over 10 years of experience as a Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor. As a Connect Therapist, she focuses on addressing the root causes of injuries to prevent recurrence. Passionate about treating dancers, Kat offers individualised assessments and rehab programs, aiming to rehabilitate dancers to be stronger than before the injury. As a dancer she has performed at Universal Studios, Disneyland (USA and France), and on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. She has trained at renowned studios; Alvin Ailey, The Juilliard School, Miami City Ballet, San Francisco Dance Center, Pineapple Dance Studios, and has represented NSW and Australia through the NSW State Dance Company.

Deb
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Deb brings years of dance teaching experience in ballet and contemporary styles, having trained at the Royal Academy of Dance in London. For a decade, she operated a popular Mat Pilates studio while teaching dance abroad. Since returning to Australia, Deb has expanded her expertise with Xtend Barre and Polestar Pilates, earning a diploma in Clinical Pilates and Barre. Known for her keen eye honed as a dance instructor, Deb emphasises form and technique to deliver challenging workouts. Her dynamic classes, including reformer, mat, and barre sessions, are infused with her infectious energy, setting the stage for an enjoyable Pilates experience. Please note, sessions with Deb are not eligible for health fund claims.

Amy
PHYSIOTHERAPIST AND PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2014 and began her career at St George Hospital, gaining experience in acute care across ICU, neurology, and orthopaedics while working in sports coverage on the weekends. Following a knee injury Amy pursued training in pilates and developed a keen interest in pregnancy and post natal recovery following the birth of her twins. She then worked in a pregnancy and post natal physiotherapy clinic for three years specialising in abdominal separation and return to exercise programs. She has further training in women’s and pelvic health and dry needling which she uses alongside her manual therapy and exercise prescription skills. Amy enjoys assessing and treating neck and lower back pain, patients with hypermobility, orthopaedic injuries and guiding rehabilitation following surgery. Amy also holds a role educating pregnant couples and first time dads in the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.

Jill
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Jill, our experienced Pilates teacher, discovered her passion for Pilates as a client herself, quickly enrolling in the Diploma in Pilates after just two weeks. With over five years of teaching experience, she finds fulfillment in witnessing her clients' transformations—from recovering from injuries to gaining confidence and building strong, healthy bodies. Jill particularly enjoys challenging her clients and providing rigorous workouts. Outside of teaching, she enjoys activities like walking the Sublime Point track, boxing, and swimming in the ocean pools during the summer. Please note, sessions with Jill are not eligible for health fund claims.

Kate
Kate initially completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at the Australian Catholic University. Then she went on to complete a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University.
Kate has a keen interest in Pilates and its rehabilitation capabilities. To date, she has completed training in DMA Clinical Pilates. She is in the process of completing the Rehabilitation course with Polestar Pilates and additional education with the NeuroStudio in America who specialise in Neurological Pilates.
She runs the Falls and Parkinsons Classes at The Movement. Kate has a special interest in helping people with healthy ageing and offers site visits (home or nursing home) within the 2508 postcode for those who are more comfortable in their own space or can not make it to the Clinic.
